STEP Program

Thanks to the continued funding from the Digital Teaching and Learning Grant from the State of Utah, we are going strong in year two of the STEP program. Through the STEP program, we are providing Chromebooks to students and professional development to teachers at five of the elementary schools in TCSD.

Here's some info about the STEP program:

  • STEP stands for Strategies, Technology, Engagement, and Personalized.

  • Our first cohort included 4th, 5th, and 6th grade teachers from West Elementary, Willow Elementary, and Copper Canyon Elementary.

  • This year we added our second cohort with teachers from Northlake Elementary and Sterling Elementary.

  • Next year, Grantsville Elementary and Settlement Canyon Elementary will be joining the program as our third cohort.

Electronic Expeditions

Check out our Electronic Expeditions! These webinars feature guest speakers from various locations sharing their expertise with some of our very own TCSD students!

  • Learn about fossils from a park ranger at Dinosaur National Monument!

  • Discover the unique history and characteristics of the Joshua Tree from a park ranger at Joshua Tree National Park!

We will be visiting even more locations in the coming weeks! Watch your email for opportunities for your students to participate live. You can view the recorded sessions on the Electronic Expeditions home page.
