LockX 1 Tap (“the App”, “we”, “our”) is an app-locker that protects your apps with fingerprint/PIN/pattern and optional anti-intrusion tools. We care about your privacy and designed the App to work primarily on-device.
1.1 On-device only (not sent to our servers)
• Lock credentials you create (PIN/pattern; biometrics are managed by the OS)
• App lock settings, schedules (e.g., quiet hours), allow/deny lists
• Intruder photos if you enable Intruder Selfie
• Voice Passcode templates/embeddings if you enable Voice Passcode
These items are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.
1.2 Diagnostics and analytics (optional)
If you opt in, we may collect anonymous diagnostics such as crash logs, performance data, feature usage counts (e.g., lock opened), device model, OS version, and locale. We do not read the contents of your locked apps.
1.3 Advertising identifiers (free/ads version)
If the free version shows ads, our ad partners may access the Advertising ID (AAID) and basic device signals to deliver, cap frequency, measure, and prevent fraud. You can reset/limit the Advertising ID in Android settings.
We do not sell personal data.
• Provide core functions: lock/unlock apps, show the lock screen, run schedules
• Detect wrong unlock attempts (optional Intruder Selfie)
• Voice Passcode (optional): listen on-device for your saved cue and trigger alerts
• Improve reliability and usability (optional diagnostics)
• If ads are shown: deliver, measure, and limit ads; personalize only with consent where required
• Credentials, settings, schedule data, Intruder Selfies, and Voice Passcode templates remain on your device
• Diagnostics/analytics (if enabled) and ad measurement may be processed by service providers on secure servers (region may vary)
• Data in transit is encrypted where applicable
• Usage Access: detect which app is opened and display the lock screen at the right time
• Display over other apps (appear on top): show the lock screen above protected apps
• Biometric/Fingerprint (optional): quick unlock using device biometrics
• Camera (optional): take an intruder selfie after incorrect unlock attempts
• Notifications access (optional): hide sensitive notification content until you unlock
• Foreground service (microphone type, optional): keep Voice Passcode listening stable in the foreground with a visible notification
• Microphone (optional): listen on-device for your saved Voice Passcode cue
• Device-admin and/or Accessibility (optional): uninstall protection or enhanced reliability; we do not read personal content via Accessibility
You can disable any optional permission in system settings; related features may stop working.
We use Google AdMob with mediation in the free version. Mediation partners may receive limited device signals (e.g., AAID, IP-derived coarse location, app version) to deliver, cap, measure, and prevent fraud. Personalization is used only if you grant consent where required by law. You can remove ads by upgrading to Premium (no-ads).
We publish the current list of active mediation partners and their privacy links on our website and update it when partners change.
Children: the App is not directed to children; we configure AdMob as not child-directed.
GDPR/EEA/UK
We use Google’s UMP (User Messaging Platform) or an equivalent consent flow.
• Personalized ads only if you consent; otherwise non-personalized ads with limited processing
• You can reopen the consent dialog in Settings → Privacy/Ads
California (CCPA/CPRA)
We honor “Do Not Sell or Share” preferences via in-app settings where applicable and request restricted data processing from ad partners when enabled.
• Audio is processed on-device to create a small template/embedding of your passcode cue
• Continuous listening (when enabled) runs as a foreground service with a persistent notification
• Audio content is not sent to our servers; you can disable Voice Passcode at any time
• We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards
• On-device items remain in app storage; network traffic to processors uses encryption in transit
• Access to any server-side diagnostics is restricted to authorized personnel
• On-device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the App
• Diagnostics/analytics (if collected) are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above and then deleted or anonymized
• You may request deletion of analytics records we control by contacting us (include your install ID if available)
• Permissions: grant or revoke in Android Settings
• Ads: reset/limit Advertising ID; switch between personalized/non-personalized (where available) in Settings → Privacy/Ads; upgrade to Premium to remove ads
• Diagnostics: opt in/out in Settings (if provided)
• Export/delete: contact us for analytics data we control; on-device items can be removed locally
• Advertising and mediation: Google AdMob and listed partners
• Payments: Google Play Billing (for Premium)
• Crash/analytics (if enabled): e.g., Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and compliance program.
The App is intended for general audiences and not designed for children under the age required by local law to provide consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Where diagnostics/analytics or ad measurement data is processed outside your country, we and our providers use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable laws.
We may update this policy as we add features or to comply with laws. We will update the date at the top and, where required, notify you in the App.
