Tom is a strategic account manager with the Copyright Clearance Center and runs Smarter Learning, a consultancy that works with startups and STM publishers.
He is formerly manager of Publisher Relations for Clarivate Analytics, where he coordinated communication and content strategy with the Web of Science Group. Prior to that Tom worked as a newspaper reporter and editor and as a commissioning editor for medical textbooks.
Tom recently moved to Chicago after three years in London, where he managed publisher accounts in the UK and continental Europe.
