The boys Cross Country team competed in their final race of the season Monday at the State Open Championship Meet. The boys ran among the top teams and runners from across the state representing Tolland well in the race. Tolland's top 4 were consistent as they have been throughout the season with Jake Vegiard, Deacon Gascon, Devon Bryden and Nate Glidden making up Tolland's top 4. Charlie Wlodarczyk, David Buey and Andrew Lamp rounded out Tolland's top 7. Congratulations on a great season Boys!

The Tolland Boys Cross Country team ran a great race Saturday afternoon at the Class-M State Championship Meet. The boys placed 2nd overall finishing as Class-M runners-up in a very close race with Ledyard by a score of 74-77. Tolland also had 3 runners earn All-State recognition: Jake Vegiard, Deacon Gascon, and Devon Bryden through their performance at the meet. The boys have had a great season and will now be moving on as 1 of the top 20 teams from across the State to compete at the State Open Championship next Friday back at Wickham Park.

The boys cross country team was back in action Tuesday afternoon and put together another set of solid performances at the CCC Championship Meet. Both the Varsity and JV teams placed 6th overall in the 30 team conference and 3rd in the CCC-North Division which brings the teams record to 14-4 on the season. The Tolland Boys team also had 4 athletes earn all-conference at the meet based on their performance being Jake Vegiard, Devon Bryden, Deacon Gascon and Nate Glidden. Tolland runners now prepare for the Class-M State Championship meet on October 25th.

The boys ran very well at the Wickham Invite in both the JV and Varsity races. In the JV race the boys placed 7th overall while Owen, Finn, Logan and Lincoln all medaled in the boys JV3 race placing in the top 50 while also running season best times. In the varsity race the boys placed 2nd with all 6 runners, Jake, Deacon, Devon, Nate, Andy & David earning medals and running season best times while also placing in the top 50. There were many additional runners who also had personal best times at the meet including John, Asher, Keith and JT. The boys gained some valuable experience on the Wickham course that will help as we approach our conference and state championship meets in the coming days/weeks.
We are now headed into the championship meet portion of our season beginning with the CCC-Championship Meet this Tuesday at Wickham Park.

The boys cross country team raced against Manchester, Glastonbury and Enfield at Wickham Park and came away with wins against Manchester and Enfield but lost to a strong Glastonbury team. With this final regular season meet concluded the boys record stands at 7-2 on the season. The team worked together well for their 3rd meet in 8 days with some needed rest in the coming days before focusing on the approaching post season meets. Thank you to everyone who was able to come out and support the team this afternoon.

The boys Cross Country team ran well at the Ocean State Invite Saturday afternoon in both the Varsity, JV and Freshman races. In the varsity race the boys placed 8th out of 49 teams in the race along with Jake Vegiard and Devon Bryden meadaling by placing in the top 30. In the JV race the boys placed 6th out of 23 teams and David Buey meadled in the boys JV race. There were several runners who had personal best times at the meet and the boys gained some big meet experience that will help as we approach our conference and state championship meets in the coming weeks.
This coming week the team has their final regular season meet back at Wickham Park in Manchester on Tuesday against Manchester, Glastonbury and Enfield.

The boys Cross Country Team raced against RHAM, East Catholic and Enfield at Wickham Park Tuesday afternoon and came away with wins against all 3 opponents to improve to 6-1 on the season. Tolland dominated the front of the race with Jake Vegiard, Deacon Gascon, Devon Bryden and Nate Glidden placing 1st-4th overall in the race. Tolland's top 7 was rounded out by Charlie Wlodarczyk, Andrew Lamp and David Buey. Tolland now prepares for the Ocean State Invitational this Saturday in RI.

The boys Cross Country Team competed in their 2nd regular season meet Tuesday afternoon and came away with wins against Enfield and East Hartford by the scores of 15-47 and 15-50 respectively and a loss to rivals EO Smith by a score of 21-36. This brings the team's record to 4-1 overall on the season. The team was led by Jake Vegiard and Deacon Gascon who placed 4th and 5th overall followed by Devon Bryden, Nate Glidden in the top 10. Tolland's top 7 was rounded out by Charlie Wlodarczyk, Andrew Lamp and Finn Gilmore. Tolland travels to Wickham Park next Tuesday to take on East Catholic and RHAM.
Congratulations to our seniors Devon Bryden, David Buey, Andrew Lamp, John Sleeman and Jake Vegiard for running well at our only home meet of the season.
9/9/2025 Won 22-25, 18-37, 16-44
The Boys Cross Country Team raced in their first regular season meet Tuesday afternoon against three CCC-East opponents and came away with wins over all three teams Windsor, Enfield and South Windsor by the scores of 22-35, 16-44 and 18-37 respectively. The boys ran well and worked together throughout the race to out place their opponents especially in the later stages of the race. Jake Vegiard, Devon Bryden, Deacon Gascon and Nate Glidden led the way for the Eagles throughout the race while Charlie Wlodarczyk, Andrew Lamp and Finn Gilmore rounded out Tolland's top 7. Tolland will next face East Hartford, EO Smith and Enfield at Home next Tuesday 9/16.

The Boys Cross Country team ran in their 1st race of the season at the Blue Dragon invitational and placed 1st overall in the varsity race and 2nd in the JV race. It was a great racing experience for our runners in both races and we had many solid performances in both races with 5 runners in the top 25 in the JV race and 4 runners in the top 25 Varsity race as well.
The boys and girls teams combined for the first place overall blue dragon trophy based on team results and also donated the most canned goods to bring home a 2nd honorary blue dragon as well!
The team is now heading into the first week of the regular season with the first CCC-North meet scheduled for Tuesday 9/9 at South Windsor with Enfield and Windsor competing as well.
