In the Makers Club, we aim to draw out the potential in creative minds to make and innovate. We provide a platform for students interested in fabrication to explore and experiment using technology and equipment such as 3D printers, Arduino / Raspberry Pi electronics, electronic cutting tools, and more. This provides members with the avenue to turn their ideas into reality.
Through peer-to-peer teaching and self-directed learning, students learn skills collaboratively and forge bonds. Skills include 3D printing, coding, which are becoming increasingly relevant as well as soldering for electronics, woodwork and working with fabric. We are also equipped with analytic thinking and collaboration skills useful for project work.
Our club activities include equipping students with the necessary skills, ability to brainstorm on projects through the Design Thinking approach, and prototyping for a journey of meaningful and fun fabricating!
