The Huntsville High School Hoya Robotics is the 2022 Provincial Championship winning robotics team from Huntsville, Ontario.

Established in 2012, our team of students from grades nine through to twelve have an ever growing skill set in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and we have designed award winning robots for the annual international First Robotics competitions.

For the 2023 season, we used advanced engineering techniques to design and program a robot named "Stinger" which uses both autonomous driving developed through computer programming and artificial intelligence (AI), and manual operations that incoroprate a collaborative skill set of student drivers and operators along with AI remote handling of the robot.

What is First Robotics?

"FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a robotics community that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs. Teams operate under a signature set of FIRST Core Values to conduct research, fundraise, design, build, and showcase their achievements during annual challenges."
