Times of Day & Timetable

Times of the Day

Being organised with time is important however, as a new Year 7, we know and understand that learning all the new timings may be nerve-racking and difficult for the first couple of weeks. To help, see below at all the times you’ll need to get to know and what your timetable will look like.

When should I arrive at school?

You are expected to be lined up, ready to enter your classroom at 8.30 am every morning. Most mornings this will be outside your form room. We therefore, recommend that you arrive at school just before 8.25 am to give you a chance to chat to your friends outside, make your way to your classroom and be ready to enter the building when the doors open at 8.30 am.

When is home time?

Home time for Year 7 is currently 15:00pm. You will be the first year group to be dismissed from your last lesson so that you can avoid the crowds.

It’s a good idea to wear a watch to school as you are NOT allowed you to use your phone for the time. There are also bells to help you remember when the next session is about to start.

What will my timetable look like?

On your very first day of school, you will be given your very own timetable. Have a look below to see what your timetable will look like.

Things to notice:

  • At Havant Academy, we have Week 1 and Week 2. The lessons you have depend on what week it is. If you’re ever unsure, just ask your tutor

  • Each period has the subject and the teacher (apart from your break and lunch times)

  • All the different numbers and letters look a little bit scary but you don’t need to worry - they simply tell you the teacher, subject and classroom you’ll be in, but your teachers will take you there anyway
