calling all environmental warriors!

For six years, Quest 4 Earth has been working towards creating a more sustainable Evanston and empowering students to take charge of their environmental education. We are now calling all members of the community –- as individuals, families, or groups –- to join us and sign up for our Quest for the Environment! Our goal is to take simple steps together that benefit our planet, like reducing, reusing, replenishing and recycling.

What is The Quest?

The Quest is a two-month-long event where you will have the opportunity to showcase your ability to make environmentally sustainable changes in your home and in the community, as an individual or larger group.

How do I sign up for The Quest?

How do I earn points and move forward in The Quest?

Quest 4 Earth has provided you with a menu of potential activities that you can complete to earn points towards being named our Environmental Warrior of the Month!
You and/or your group are asked to upload documentation of the completed activity using our Google submission form. Each submission must contain your name (and your group name if applicable) as well as the description of the task you completed and, if possible an accompanying video or photo.

When can I participate in the Quest?

Quest Cycle 1: April 4th - April 22nd, 2021

Activities

To help you begin your journey, Quest 4 Earth has put together groups of activities that you can complete to move forward in the Quest. You can choose to complete activities based on their environmental impact level - home, family, or community - and corresponding points values (100, 500, or 1000).

We also encourage you to create your own activities and show us your efforts to bring forth environmental change. Each activity you complete will earn you points towards becoming an Environmental Warrior, receiving a prize and the highest degree of recognition! We will be actively recording and updating the standings of those participating in The Quest each week and with your permission, we will be showcasing your submission on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

About Quest 4 Earth

Quest 4 Earth is a Tiz Media Foundation environmental awareness initiative that uses MindRap methodology to teach environmental science and justice. With climate change responsible for many issues that will impact our future generations todays youth need to be scientifically rooted to meet the challenges. In Quest 4 Earth workshops they learn about environmental issues and how science can help them face those challenges. Using a STEAM platform youth transform what they learn into media that can help teach others. Funded by donations and grants Quest 4 Earth workshops are currently running in Evanston, Illinois.
