3 STEM Challenge Projects Over 3 Weeks

We are flexible! Whatever fits your child's interests and your family's schedule.

Currently open to residents of Juniata, Mifflin, Huntingdon and Fulton Counties, TIU 11 Staff Members and their referrals.

Registration and $60 fee for:

  • Mini Makers Toolkit

  • Live sessions for release of challenge

  • Live collaborative work session together

  • Live check ins with TIU 11 staff

  • End-of-the-Week Showcase

  • Gallery of Cre8tor Crew Projects

  • Virtual and Laser Cut Badges

  • Certificate of Completion

How to Register

Complete the Makers Camp Cre8tor Crew Google Registration Form

  • Family and Cre8tor Crew Camper should complete the Registration Form together

Fee: $60.00 per camper, includes Mini Makers Toolkit

Sign up with a friend and/or your brothers and sisters

Complete and submit a signed release for use of shared media and content (to be emailed once registered)

Requirements

  1. Access to announced STEM Challenge videos by cell phone, other device or computer

  2. Ability to provide photographs or video of project

  3. Child does not have to appear in media, can be hands and project only.

  4. Please be sure to sign the media release form and return to TIU 11 staff.

  5. Collection of recyclables to build with, including various cardboard, see suggested list of recyclables

  6. Access to the SeeSaw App, Zoom or special arrangements made due to limited Internet access

  7. Helping your child to attend at least three Zoom Meetings during the week: Monday morning, Tuesday morning and the Friday Showcase. Additional mini tutorials and "office hours" for help as needed are available, but optional.

  8. Helping or supervising your child about an hour each day as he or she creates.

  9. Making with at least one Cre8tor Crew Member

Before Starting

  • Create a Mini Maker Kit.

  • Save recyclables, epecially cardboard. See suggested list of recyclables and other supplies.

  • We do not recommend using glass containers or recycled metal cans

  • Choose a place in your home that you will make.

  • Talk to your family about a plan to clean up each day and where to store your creations.

  • Wed. - Thurs. Work on your own with friends and family

    • 10:08 - 11:08 Mini Tutorials for Using Motors and Copper Tape Circuits for LEDs

    • 1:08 - 2:08 PM Communic8 for 1 hour “Office Hours” both days

  • Fri. 1:08 - 2:08 PM Celebr8 Live Showcase for about an hour
