Day 3 in Seoul: The Adventure Continues!
Ah, Day 3! We woke up, ready for another adventure in chilly Seoul! We hopped on a bus to Namsan Tower because the cable car was taking a vacation. Public bus? Check! Scenic view? Double check!
When we finally made it to the top, our first mission was to find our home country on the map. Miss Kenney was on a mission to find South Africa, but alas! South Africa was playing hide-and-seek. Heartbreak level: high.
Still, the weather was perfect, a little chill in the air, just enough to make us feel cozy without needing a hot chocolate.
Then came the downhill hike. Let's just say, it was less of a hike and more of a stair-stepping competition. We passed by some stubborn patches of snow that clearly didn't get the memo about waiting for us. Our knees were shaking like they were auditioning for a horror movie. Finally, we popped back onto the main road, and lunch time couldn't come fast enough!
Lunch was a delicious pork cutlet, a famous dish in Namsan.
Then it was time for the batting cages! Some students channeled their inner athletes and hit homers with a bang, while others reached for the stars… and hit air. Oh, the cheers for the mighty ball-hitters could probably be heard in the next city over!
Bus 3 finally made it out to watch a baseball game and managed to catch five baseballs and get them autographed.
Next stop: Bukchon Hanok Village. We wandered through beautiful traditional houses, and for once, it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. The students were so silent because they were warned not to talk at all. Teachers enjoyed the serene moment, getting lost in their thoughts—or was it just the sweet sound of peace?
After the village, we zoomed over to Hikr Ground for some cool photo shoots. It was time to unleash our inner superstars, DJs, and skaters for a few epic seconds. Just check out our Insta feeds later!
Finally, we gathered for a fabulous Korean dinner before heading back to the hotel. Another day, another adventure in Seoul, and we still have more fun ahead! Who knew this trip would be a mix of exercise, culinary delights, and Olympic-level sports? Can’t wait for Day 4!
