As such, it’s best to test your thyroid labs prior to increasing your dosage, to ensure that an increase is indeed what you need.
Oftentimes, incorporating new lifestyle habits, like eating meals that are balanced (in terms of carbs, protein and fats), ensuring you aren’t eating foods that you are reactive to, and addressing nutrient deficiencies and gut infections, can help improve one’s absorption of medications, which in turn may result in needing a lower thyroid medication dosage.
