This site is home to all of Thread's facilitated and asynchronous trainings whether you are a volunteer, staff member, or prospective volunteer!
For Prospective Volunteers: We need you now more than ever to build community, support and uplift our young people, and build meaningful relationships across lines of difference. Though, in the past our trainings have been held in person, Thread is deeply dedicated to showing all the way up and being present in online spaces in order to develop authentic relationships, no matter the platform, in order to support our vast Thread community.
For Volunteers: We, here at Thread, know that you and your young people may run into barriers that are difficult to navigate and we want to support you on your journey as well as provide you with an interactive and collaborative space to problem solve.
For Staff Members: We want to work diligently with all staff members to create and produce trainings that are useful and built upon our community norms: showing all the way up, failing forward, learning from all voices, and treating relationships as wealth.
This site contains helpful information regarding required new volunteer orientations, starting relationships trainings, overcoming barriers, and any other trainings that the Thread community needs. Not sure what you are looking for? Down below you will find a table of contents as well as brief descriptions of all of our trainings and orientations. However, at any point, feel free to reach out to us here on our Support page or via email at support@thread.org and put in the subject line: "training question" and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
