FAQs

1) Do we need to pay for giving a talk in this conference?

Ans: Absolutely NO. It's a free QA community event.


2) Whom do I need to contact once I submit my summary of talk? Can I drop mail or can I contact someone directly on the phone?

Ans: Conference Team will keep you posted on the status of proposal. Meanwhile if you have any queries, you can drop an email to vodqa-india@thoughtworks.com and we will reply to you as soon as possible.


3) Do I get confirmation on approval of my talk that is presented?

Ans: Yes, you will be notified through an email. 


4) How soon I will be notified on the status of the Proposal? 

Ans: For shortlisting of Topics upon submission, it may take upto three weeks after we close the window for submission. Once shortlisted, we will notify and start preparation for Dry-runs.


5) Device requirement for giving a session?

Ans: You will need to get your personal laptop and will need to notify us about the Laptop model so that we are prepared with accessories needed for sharing over a larger screen.


6) Can speakers deliver their sessions using their mobile phones?

Ans: It is advisable to use a laptop as the screen will be shared to a larger screen as you will be presenting it in-person from Office. 


7) What tool do we use for this session?

Ans: Zoom Webinar will be used to stream it across the offices. 

Note: Only people who come to our offices will be able to attend the sessions that are streamed inside our offices in Bengaluru, Gurugram and Hyderabad. 


8) Can speakers answer the questions raised by the attendee?

Ans: Yes. And for attendees from other offices, either the host or one of the Volunteers will help in browsing through the chats/QnA and help the Speaker with the questions so that Speaker can answer. 


9) Can two speakers present/share their screens simultaneously?

Ans: No. Only one speaker can share his/her screen at a time.


10) Can a speaker play pre-recorded videos?

Ans: It is advisable to present it live on the stage, but if a pre-recorded video is to be used as an example or a reference to make attendees understand the Topics, then it can be played.
