Acorns Battle it out!

The Acorns have been busy over the last few weeks learning solo pieces, and at last night's rehearsal the acorns battled it out in our own little solo competition. Our little acorns (Beginners Group) began the contest with Dannii, Alex and Hugo taking the stage. Adjudicators Ben and Derwyn where very impressed with their confident performances with little errors, First prize went to Hugo, with Dannii and Alex picking up prizes for their performances too. Next to hit the stage was our acorns (Training Band), who have been practicing "Little Brown Bird Singing". Lynne went first with a good performance but improvements could be made, following was Garner and Antonio who both played speedy but confident performances. Next to take the stage was Caroline who a part being nervous and a few mis-pitches gave a great performance. Finally our most nervous player of the night Tilly hit the stage, after a scrappy start due to nerves, she performed very well, keeping to tempo, and with few errors. Our adjudicator Christine gave great feed back and gave First Prize to Caroline. They are now continuing with their hard work preparing for our up-coming Summer Concert in June.
