Keeping brass alive in sherwood
Sherwood forest Brass is fourth section competing community Brass Band, based in heart of sherwood, with the band room located in the historical village of Clipstone, since 2000, we have been providing free musical opportunities for anyone in the Nottinghamshire area to learn and play brass or percussion instruments together with in a band environment.
This year we would be celebrating our 20th Anniversary of making music together. We had planned to share our celebration with a reunion event inviting all band members past and present, for a nostalgic blow playing pieces from the bands past including the bands very first piece 'Pennine Way'. follwed by a good old fashioned catch up.
In addtion to this we hoped to orgnaise a celebration concert for our amazing followers. Unfortunatly due to COVID-19 we have had to cancel these events until further notice.
So this remarkable feet does not go unnoticed we have digging deep in to the bands archieve to create a time line of the bands best of the past 20 years
