Third Lutheran Church
Who are we?
We are a proudly progressive, boldly inclusive, radically friendly faith community.
We are gay. We are biracial. We are retired. We are transgender. We are adopted. We are homeless. We are in diapers. We are divorced. We are disabled. We are children, parents, grandparents and great grandparents. We are students, nurses, financial planners, store managers, seminarians, executive assistants, social workers, unemployed, engineers, strategists and caregivers. We are beloved children of God. And so are you!
We are Christians who are shaped and formed through the Word of God who accept the teachings of the Protestant reformer Martin Luther (1483 – 1546) and believe that God is always at work, reforming the church.
As a community of the people of God, we are called to minister to all people of our world, knowing that the world is often an unloving place. Christ calls us to reconciliation and wholeness. We are challenged by the Gospel to be agents of healing within our society.
Because we're currently in transition, check out the latest updates on our "About Us" page and learn what new thing God is leading us into. We hope you'll come and see us!
