Thiebaut (tebow) Method (TM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009 in East Palo Alto, CA, that empowers low-income middle school students to do social good in their communities through Social Good Projects (SGPs).
TM was founded by Paul Thiebaut III, who has lived in East Palo Alto since he was 13 years old in 1993. Paul discovered and cultivated his passions beginning at age 23 and overcame poverty as a result. That led Paul to believe that any low-income child could do the same if they pursued their passions. TM has its name because of its unique method of cultivating passions.
TM has pivoted many times in the 11 years it has existed. Many have wondered why TM has continued to pivot. The answer is simple: until arriving at SGPs, TM searched for the right blend of passion-based learning and real-world experience that would ignite a student's full potential.
It takes time to find solutions to unaddressed problems. By empowering low-income students to make their communities a better place, TM can make the world a better place. It's that simple. Yet, arriving at simplicity is a complex process.
Please join us in "making a dent in the universe" by supporting our students monetarily, with your time, or simply spreading the word about what we do.
