The Junior levels encompass 3 Levels:
Junior Bronze
Junior Silver
Junior Gold
You should be extremely comfortable with these levels as there is a high chance of being assigned one of them.
Here is the requirements of the Junior Bronze:
Front kick with board 40m
Front drill
Introduction to LAD 40m
Front streamline 10m
Front crawl 20m
4 stroke breath
Arm movement smooth
Lead arm extends forward and angles down
Nose points down
Back kick 40m
Back streamline 40m
Introduction to 11 & 1
Back crawl 20m
Arm entry smooth
Arm touches side of ear as passes by
Arms reach straight up
Diving
Hands enter before feet
Treading water 45sec
Here is the requirements of the Junior Silver level:
Front drills 40m
LAD front drill with angle down 40m
Arm extended
Kick small and continuous
Kicking side to side
Front crawl 40m
Beginning to look across water when breathing
Hand stretch forward & still in extend position
High elbow recovery
Hip rotation at 11&1
Side breathing smooth
Back drills 40m
LAD 20m each side
Back crawl 40m
Hand entry smooth
Pinky entry
Thumb exit
Dolphin kick 20m
The kick starting from chest
Bum moving up and down
Arms in a tight streamlined position and/or by side
Diving
Glide when entering water
Hands enter water first
Legs starting to spring up
Treading water for 90 sec
Here is the requirements of the Junior Gold Level:
Front drills
LAD 40m
Introduction to 11&1 20m
Front crawl 60m
Beginning to look across water when breathing
Hand stretch forward and still in extended position
High elbow recovery
Hip rotation at 11 & 1
Side breathing smooth
Back drills
LAD 20m each side
11&1 20m
Back crawl 60m
Hand entry smooth
Pinky entry
Thumb exit
Dolphin kick on back 20m
