In education settings, she has developed and utilised her specialist OT skills to support children with a variety of neurodivergencies and sensory needs; producing detailed reports to support EHCP applications and guide inclusive practices. Her work within foster care contexts demonstrates her ability to support children and families navigating trauma, attachment, and behavioural challenges.
Vicky’s expertise spans a wide range of settings including family homes, schools, supported living, foster placements, mental health wards, and forensic rehabilitation. Her adaptable and compassionate approach ensures she meets clients where they feel safest, working collaboratively with families, educators, and care teams to build trust and achieve shared goals. She integrates a range of clinical approaches including trauma-informed care, neurodiversity-affirming practice, functional skill development, and interactive, play-based techniques to meet the individual needs of her clients.
Vicky is a confident Level 3 Sensory Integration Practitioner, and is able to use sensory integration assessment tools. She is certified to undertake assessment for both adults and children with potential sensory needs, and is trained to use standardised assessment tools to produce detailed assessment reports, personalised recommendations and tailored advice.Â
In addition to direct clinical work, Vicky designs and delivers bespoke training sessions for families, schools, care teams, and fellow professionals. These sessions are engaging, practical, and responsive to the unique needs of each audience, supporting wider systems to provide high quality care to clients. In addition to this Vicky engages with clinical research to support her clinical professional development, focussing on learning disabilities and neurodivergencies to further build on her expertise.
