Elementary

The TNS elementary curriculum is very rich and evolving. At TNS, we believe in following and honoring the child, yet also exposing them to a wide and vast curriculum that will ignite their natural love of learning, and also allow them the time and space to develop and mature into the best version of themselves. Our unique curriculum will not only prepare the children with an education for life, but also instill a strong sense of compassion for the world around them and all of the beauty that can be found there. 

Core subjects will be taught at this level, including: mathematics, language arts, science, geography, botany, zoology, ecology, history, sociology as well as others. Teachers will blend methodologies from Waldorf and Montessori styles of education, while at the same time, honoring nature as the central element in the curriculum. 

The academic expectations will increase as the child advances in school, and children will be expected to do their best work while at school. Teachers will make every effort to make sure each child can access the curriculum, and will find ways to make the subjects and content areas understandable to all the students.
