* Limited to 2 dogs walked at once

❁ In-home dog nail trim (performed after a walk): $15
Can be broken up over multiple visits for dog's comfort, ie 1 paw per visit
❁ In-home pocket pet nail trim: $12

❁ Cat visit: $20
(Up to 2 cats in household)
❀ Per additional pair of cats: $5
* This rate can fluctuate based on cats' needs

Hi there! I’m Marissa or MJ, and I’m the human behind The Hound and Collie!

The spirit of THAC began all the back in the late 00s’ petsitting my Aunt’s dog. I’ve always had a love for animals, requiring my Papa to tote me to the family farm outside of Mildmay to visit with the cattle, and loving on whoever’s dog was around. I notoriously wore out my aunt’s Jack Russel, a dog that never ever settled - except for the time I threw a ball till we both dropped. Now I didn’t get my own dogs until 2021, prior to that I had a menagerie of fish, reptiles, tarantulas and scorpions (to many’s horror) and small mammals. Many of my guinea pigs were trick trained!

And once again to my parents horror, I started researching the ethical care of my pets and just how much space and devotion those animals needed. Very quickly my Guinea pigs took over my parents office, I had numerous gallons of water in my room, and enough reptilian lamps to not need the house’s furnace in my room over the winter. (I can only imagine what the power bill was 🙈)

To make a long story short, I love to fulfill animals and provide them the best care that I can!
