Carbon Circle
Carbon Circle develops, owns and operates renewable natural gas (RNG) and organic fertilizer projects across India. Agricultural residues, such as cow dung, paddy straw are used to produce RNG. These feedstocks would have otherwise decomposed, leading to methane emissions; methane being 25 times more damaging than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas. Organic fertilisers improve the carbon content of the soil and supplement chemical fertilizers such as urea.
Carbon Circle is led by a team of seasoned professionals from the energy, infrastructure, waste and agribusiness sectors, who are passionate about decarbonising industry and agriculture.
