The BKG guitar ensemble is proud to award five 8th-graders a guitar and accessories after completing the equivalent of three years of the guitar program. These students not only learned how to play the classical guitar, they displayed leadership, innovation and perseverance. This is a "Thank You" video prepared for the donors of the instruments and accessories awarded.

The BKG guitar ensemble presented another student-only concert in which many new features were used: vocals, popular music, electric bass, violins and a presentation from a beginner guitar elective class

The Virtual Guitar Orchestra started as a response to COVID, allowing guitarists from all around the world to "play together" during the pandemic. It continues as a testament to the power of music. One of our students, Jamee, and our guitar instructor, Mr. Dennis, participated in the VGO for the piece "Pulsar" by Vincent Lindsey-Clark.

The BKG guitar ensemble performed at the event, but the real show was the parent guitar class. A few parents picked up a guitar and learned to play. After a time of learnig and practicing, parents and children performed together.

The BKG guitar ensemble was invited to open Ricardo Saeb's concert at Immanuel Church in Woodside NY.  Mexican guitarist Ricardo Saeb has performed in venues across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.

The BKG guitar ensemble welcomes Dr. Sungmin Shin, professsor at The University of at Buffalo, SUNY.  Sungmin is an artist-teacher, arts leadership advocate, composer, consultant, engineer-producer, ensemble director, entrepreneur, improviser, multi-instrumentalist, music theorist, and scholar.

The BKG guitar ensemble was invited to open Gohar Vardanyan's concert at Iglesia Santa Cruz.

The BKG guitar ensemble hosted world renowned classical guitarist Gohar Vardanyan. A small performance by the ensemble and then by Ms. Vardanyan took place.
