We have had a busy and exciting time in school! Our Rock Steady bands performed to the children and parents, showcasing their hard work and enthusiasm. Year 3 also enjoyed a special visit from a physiotherapist, who talked to them about staying healthy and looking after their bodies. In addition, Nursery and KS2 took part in the wonderful Elfridges sale, kindly organised by FOBS, which brought lots of festive fun and smiles.
This week, we celebrated our PROUD assembly, highlighting the children’s fantastic demonstration of our PROUD values: Perseverance, Respect, Optimism, Unity, and Discovery. Throughout the week, every child has shown great effort, kindness, and curiosity in their learning and interactions, truly embodying the spirit of these values. We are incredibly proud of how our pupils live out PROUD in everything they do!
Year Three had a fantastic opportunity this week to connect their Science learning to real-world scientific careers. We were delighted to welcome a personal trainer and nutrition coach into our classes to talk about how the body works, why exercise is essential, and how making healthy food choices helps us stay strong and energised. The children were fascinated to learn how these professionals use scientific knowledge every day in their jobs, from understanding muscles and movement to planning balanced meals. They asked a wide range of thoughtful questions, shared their own experiences of sports and healthy habits, and showed great enthusiasm throughout. It was a thoroughly engaging and inspiring visit that brought their classroom learning to life.
As part of their learning, the children explored digital art by using the website Sketch Pad to illustrate a scene from the story Whatever Next! They experimented with the different tools and features to bring the characters and setting to life, producing some imaginative and vibrant digital artwork.
Our amazing musicians in KS1 and KS2 have been rocking out in our Rock Steady clubs, and this week they gave us a show to remember! These talented young rock stars performed their awesome songs to the whole school in assembly, filling the hall with energy, music, and pure fun. From banging drums to strumming guitars and singing with confidence, they wowed everyone and had us all tapping along. A huge well done to our brilliant Rock Steady bands—you definitely brought the house down!

We are happy to welcome children who wish to ride their scooters and bikes to school. However, for everyone’s safety, children and adults must not ride their scooters or bikes around the KS2 playground or in our busy infant and junior milling areas before and after school. These areas can become crowded, and riding could lead to accidents or injuries. We appreciate your support in helping us keep our playgrounds safe for all our children and adults.
It is really important for all children to drink water throughout the day, which is why children need to bring a water bottle into school. However, can we please ask that children only bring in either a disposable plastic or re-usable plastic water bottle.
Some children are bringing in large metal water bottles which when knocked over can cause disruption in the class.
Please can we also ask that Airup water bottles are not brought into school, these are expensive and can sometimes be knocked over in a busy classroom and damaged or broken.
