Student Driver Safety:
Students driving to school must park in the student lot and have a parking permit in their vehicle. We have students parking across the street at businesses. As you know, there is a lot of traffic in the morning and the afternoon. It is unsafe for students to be crossing Doctor's Drive. Additionally, business have every right to tow vehicles that are not supposed to be parked there. If your student cannot afford a parking permit, please contact the school.
Senior Cap and Gowns:

Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Team:
We are putting together a Family & Community Engagement (FACE) Team and are in need of people to join in!
This group will examine how we communicate to our families, determine its effectiveness, and make suggestions for how we can improve in our areas of need. This will consist of 4-5 meetings throughout the course of the year. If you are interested in participating or perhaps would like more information, please contact Rey Gonzalez at rey.gonzalez@franklin.kyschools.us
Blankets at School & Glass Bottles:
Now that it is colder, I wanted to remind families that we do not allow students to have blankets out at school or on the buses. This is a safety hazard as it can cause people to trip and fall. Also, we do not know what students might have under them and there is really no place in the educational setting for these. If students need assistance with cold-weather clothing, they can visit our Youth Service Center in the front office, and Tonya Bass will help.
Additionally, students are encouraged to bring reusable bottles to refill at our water stations, but please no glass bottles or containers because these can be a safety hazard.
