Prom Pictures:
We were notified by Liberty Hall that their grounds are closed for restoration due to flooding. As you know, a lot of Frankfort was damaged by the recent flood. Please check with local areas prior to arriving for Prom pictures to make sure they are open.
Blood Drive:
The American Red Cross will be at Western Hills for blood donations on Wednesday April 23rd from 9:00 - 2:00.
The Red Cross is offering incentives for donors. If by April 22nd there are 25 appointments scheduled, they will raffle off 5 - $50.00 gift cards. They are also giving away T- shirts (limited quantity), and a chance to win a $5K prize.

2. Call 1-800-Red Cross to schedule your appointment.
3. Go to the Western Hills High School Facebook Page and search blood drive.
KSA Testing:
KSA testing will begin May 5 and run until May 8. This is a required assessment for both 10th and 11th graders. During testing students will not have access to their cellphones. We ask that you please refrain from texting or calling them during testing times as we will ask students to turn their phones off. If there is an emergency and you need to get ahold of your student please call the front office and counselor will escort the students out of the testing room to speak to you.
If your students has a doctor's appointment during the testing days we ask that you please try to reschedule those. Students will need to be pulled for makeup testing when they are done.
NTI Feedback:
We would like your feedback on NTI days and assignments that occured this year. We are always looking for ways to make these days as beneficial as possible. Please complete this feedback form no later than Friday, April 25th. NTI Family Feedback Form
EKU STEM Summer Camp:
We would like share an exciting opportunity for students who have a passion for the STEM Fields. EKU is currently accepting applications for their STEM Summer Camp—a residential STEM summer camp designed for high school students who are eager to explore STEM topics in a hands-on, engaging, and collaborative environment. The camp will take place on EKU’s Richmond campus from June 22nd – 27th with lab experiences, information sessions, and recreational activities.
Ideal candidates are rising juniors or seniors with a strong interest in STEM and a curiosity to learn beyond the classroom.

Yearbook:
Please remember to buy your yearbooks! Yearbooks are available for purchase at www.yearbookordercenter.com using order number 10536 for $70 each. Unfortunately, if we do not have enough yearbooks purchased, we will not be able to produce a yearbook this year. Driver License Requirement:
Students needing to fulfill their Graduated Driver Licensing requirement can register for a free class by going to www.kentuckysafedriver.com and clicking on the Alive at 25 links located under Courses or by calling 502/699-2295. Here are the courses for May and June:
Tuesday, May 13 at Western Hills High School from 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Thursday, June 5 at the Lawrenceburg Police Department from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Visit bit.ly/whhsactpractice where students can prepare for the ACT, SAT, PSAT, AP exams, and even learn to write College Admissions Essays. There are tutorials, practice tests, and test preparation eBooks. Students can sign in/register with their Franklin County Schools Google accounts.
