At the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and engineering, our team is dedicated to redefining the future of mobility. We believe the path to a cleaner planet doesn't just lie in what we create, but also in what we refuse to throw away. Our ambitious goal is to design and build modern, efficient, and desirable electric vehicles by upcycling and re-engineering discarded materials.
This initiative originated at the Experiential Learning Centre (ELC) at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), Patiala. The ELC operates on the principle that effective education must extend beyond conventional classroom instruction. It aims to provide students with substantive, hands-on experience, thereby integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. By facilitating projects with real-world implementation, the ELC enables students to address complex challenges and develop effective, innovative solutions.
Our team's current project is the development of a state-of-the-art electric bus designed for transport within the TIET campus. This is no ordinary vehicle. Our bus will be powered primarily by electricity, with solar panels providing an additional source of clean energy and delivering a transportation system with no emissions. But our commitment to sustainability goes deeper. We are pioneering a new approach to manufacturing by fabricating the bus body from recycled materials, transforming waste into a symbol of innovation. This project is a direct challenge to conventional vehicle production, aiming to reduce the overall emissions, from construction to operation.
