NEW U.S. CONSULATE MONTERREY
Surrounded by the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains, west of Monterrey, the new U.S. Consulate campus features eight buildings on a 10-acre site. The Consulate includes two wings, a two-story, stone-clad building that seems to rise from the earth, and an adjacent five-story building covered in polished aluminum panels. This Consulate, among the busiest in the world, features soaring, two-story gallery space. A U.S. Marine Security Guard Residence provides a harmonious interior with warm woods and open spaces for those protecting the Consulate. The parking garage’s photovoltaic roof is but one example of the overall sustainable design.
