School Counselors, formerly known as Guidance Counselors, help set the tone and build the foundations for developing knowledge, attitudes and skills for becoming healthy, confident successful life-long learners, by assisting students in three domains: academic success, personal/social growth, and career exploration.
In order to best meet the needs of the students, it is important for counselors to collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and most importantly students. The school counseling program will provide education, prevention, and intervention services to our students. Some of the available services include classroom lessons, individual counseling, small group counseling, parent education/information, one-on-one conferences, resource referrals, and community outreach.
