Nurturing Parenting Classes for Parents and Adolescents

The Nurturing Parenting Programs are an evidence-based, family-centered initiative designed to build parenting skills and strengthen the relationship between parents and their children. Session topics will include:

• Getting to know each other and re-establishing a relationship

• Understanding each others' perspectives and feelings

• Providing praise

• Building trust

• Constructive communication

• Problem-solving and decision making

• Discipline

• Addressing hard topics including sex and substance abuse
