Work with a partner in order to step into the role of an archaeologist studying the ancient cities of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro. Using resources from the website below, draw conclusions and develop theories about life in the ancient Indus River Valley.

To better understand how cities are planned, you will take on the role of an architect or urban planner to create your own sample Mohenjo Daro, using the guidelines below. To build your city, you have been granted a budget of 8,000,000 rupees. Your city should provide housing for at least 20,000 people.
Granary: 1,000,000 rupees
Public Bath: 1,000,000 rupees
Marketplace: 1,000,000 rupees
Wells: 500,000 rupees
Public Bathroom: 100,000 rupees
Each Street: 60,000 rupees
Sewage Pipeline: 30,000 rupees (one pipeline is needed for each street)
