The teacher will go over which terms are related to Hinduism, Buddhism or both. Students that did each word will be asked to stand up and move to different parts of the room depending on which color they made their slide (red, yellow or green).

When learning about Hinduism and Buddhism, there are many key vocabulary words that can be difficult to remember. To help with this, you will work in groups of 3 to create an ABC Slideshow related to the key terms of Hinduism and Buddhism. Each slide of the slideshow will be for a different letter of the alphabet. You will have each slide be about one word that starts with the letter. You will use the Slideshow Assignment handout to see which words you will put on each slide. On each slide, you will also include each of the following:

• Vocabulary word (list this in the title of the slide)

• Definition

• Picture related to the word

• Color Coding:

  • If the word relates to Hinduism, make some part of the slide RED.

  • If the word relates to Buddhism, make some part of the slide YELLOW.

  • If the word relates to both Hinduism and Buddhism, make some part of the slide ORANGE.

    • To demonstrate the color coding, you could change the background color, highlight text, or write the words Hinduism, Buddhism, or Both in that color. Still make sure that everything on your slide is easy to read.
