Alexander the Great/Not So Great Handout (given in class)
Alexander the Great named numerous cities after himself. He founded or renamed over 70 cities, almost all of which were named Alexandria. One notable exception was Bucephala, founded in honor of his horse Bucephalus. The most famous Alexandria, the one founded in Egypt, remains a major city today.Â
Use the atlas to complete the handout. You may work with a partner, but you must work together to answer the questions.
Use the textbook to determine if Alexander was great or not so great. Fill in the "Alexander the Great/Not So Great" handout with your findings.
