Introduction
What happened to King Tut is one of the ancient world’s greatest mysteries. At just around 19 years old King Tut’s life was tragically cut short. Great mystery still surrounds King Tut’s early demise. Although King Tut only ruled for around ten years he is one of the most famous pharaohs today: the discovery of his tomb in 1922 captured the amazement of the world! You have been tasked with opening this cold case and investigating one of the great mysteries of history!
Directions
You and your group will read the case file about King Tut and his mysterious death. Consider the leading theories in the case file, along with the evidence. While reading, take notes on what you read on the notes page. Finally, you will answer questions at the end about the case and leading theories in your crime report packet. Your group will be tasked with choosing a theory you find most plausible, supported by the evidence and theories you learned about. Good luck, detectives!
