Chromebooks For Students

Grades 5-8

Chromebooks in 2 EASY Steps!

Our district will be continuing the 1 to 1 Google Chromebook initiative for grades 5 -8. By taking part in this educational program, students will have their own Google Chromebook which includes having access to the Google Education Suite our district uses extensively. Students will also have an option to take their devices home during the school year. Taking advantage of this take home opportunity is strongly encouraged.

For students to have authorization to participate in this undertaking as well as having the flexibility to take home Chromebooks during the school year, you and your child must review and complete the 2 steps as outlined below:

Step 1 - Review & Sign Student Network Agreement / Chromebook Use Agreement

Required for all students, this must be completed before students can use any district technology in or out of school.

Please print the last page of this form and return the completed form to the Main Office.

Step 2 - Purchase Chromebook Annual Insurance ($25) if you authorize Take Home use.

Required ONLY IF parents are authorizing the Take Home use of the Chromebooks as outlined in the Student Network Agreement / Chromebook Use Agreement (Step 1) See: Take Home Option section , otherwise students must keep Chromebooks in school at all times.

* For families that requesting financial assistance please contact Joanne Black at the BOE office jblack@tewksburyschools.org

To Pay by Check

Please bring your $25 check in to the Main Office:

Upon review and completion of each steps, students will be issued a Chromebook (charger and protective case included), and will be authorized to take their assigned Chromebook device home if insurance is paid. Students not purchasing insurance will be authorized to use a Chromebook in school, however the device must be returned to a centralized location at the end of each day.
