Charles Cracknell (brother-in-law to Peter and Jane Crew) died peacefully on Saturday 1st February. Charles and his late wife Jean ran the crèche at Temple for many years and were a great support to many young families here. Many members will remember their family with great fondness and we send thoughts, prayers and thanksgivings for a life well lived to Sarah in Brixham, and to Becky and Brian in Southampton. The Tete-a Tete daffodills in the tubs at the front of Temple are in memory of Charles after the Service of Thanksgiving this week in Brixham. They were his favourite flowers and were provided by the family in memory of him for Temple.

There is a commentary provided by the skipper and the cruise lasts two and a half hours with the cost £11 per person. Anyone is welcome to join us for a nice social occasion, but we know that it is popular and books up quickly. If you would like to go please speak to Graham or Janet Dickinson email@example.com in the next couple of weeks.
Work-Wise is a charity that was founded by and is largely supported by our two churches. It offers free, friendly support to those seeking work. We are hoping to extend our work into Bridgwater and to other areas of Taunton – and we are seeking new grant funding to make this possible. We also need help from you, our founding churches! Please read carefully the leaflet inviting you to become an individual donor to Work-Wise – think and pray

We would like to express our gratitude to Stella on Sunday 23rd February with a lunch after the service to which all are invited. To plan for the catering, please contact Sheila Robertson firstname.lastname@example.org by 9th February if you wish to attend and/or assist with catering.

EASTER CRACKED at LISIEUX WAY: Lisieux Way is trying to put together an Easter Cracked event for Blackbrook school, at Lisieux Way Methodist Church BUT we are very short of actors – especially males [very brief parts]. Would anyone like to join us on Wednesday 1st April for 10-1pm for the event (a series of scenes based around Easter Week) plus a rehearsal in March? We see this as an important part of our local outreach, so it would be a sadness to us if we had to let the school down. For more information, please contact email@example.com
GOD IN LOVE UNITES US QUESTIONNAIRE: We are trying to gauge the feeling of the circuit in relation to the Methodist Churches view of marriage and relationships. To help establish how people feel there is a questionnaire available for you to complete. Copies have been distributed to each church or you can get a copy from Rev Chris Brown. You may have to ask for one from your Church Steward. This is your chance to make your views known and will be most helpful to the District Synod as they have to pass comment back to the Methodist Conference. Instructions are on the form and you have until March 2020 to respond. This is important and I hope that as many people as possible will complete one. Chris Brown
FLOWER FESTIVAL: Some if you will know that I am hoping to organise a Flower Festival in May and the planning has started! So far I have teaching. gardening and dancing. Props are important and if you can provide anything that will be good. I will be asking for lots of support so the dates are 14th - 17th May. Let’s make this a great event that the people of Taunton will be talking about! Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks Anne B
