As a music educator, my teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student deserves a safe, inclusive environment where they feel empowered to explore, create, and express themselves through music. I am committed to fostering a classroom culture built on mutual respect, trust, and ecouragement; a place where all students feel seen and heard. Music education is a powerful tool for personal growth, and I strive to nuture not only technical skill and musical understanding but also confidence, collaboration, and an appreciation for the arts.
A central aspect of my approach is incorporating movement into the music curriculum. I believe that engaging the body in music making enhances learning and helps students develop greater body awareness, rhythmic accuracy, and emotional connection to the music. Through activities such as body percussion, improvising, and rhythmic games, students are given opportunities to internalize musical concepts and build a deeper, more personal relationship with the music they perform and create. This active, kinesthetic approach supports diverse learning styles, encourages creative risk-taking, and cultivates a more vibrant experience with music overall.

Conducting: Temple University Diamond Marching Band
The Chappell Roan show was one of my favorite shows that I have ever conducted. This video was also the first TUDMB video to go viral that I was a part of!
Trumpet: Temple University Diamond Marching Band
This show is by far one of the most memorable. The band got to let loose and come up with some "spooky" choreography that had us invested in what we were performing. Collaboration like this is something that I want to bring into my future classroom, allowing the students to invest in what we are doing!
Conducting/Barbie: Temple University Diamond Marching Band
The Barbie show involved filming our own Barbie movie that played during the live show, coordinating with moments on the field. This was also my debut as an "actress" getting to star as Barbie in a Temple themed Barbie land!
