3D Scene

Developement

Thanks to our programmer, Gregory Teodoro, MAP Laboratories have been able to make a number of 3D Environments for use with virtual reality headsets, CAVE Environments, and other virtual environment systems.

Space Station

This scene features a large number of graphical additions and custom made meshes. The participant overlooks the window of a spaceship, staring out into the Milky Way. It features a Earth with rotating cloud cover, and a moving space station. The pillars are designed to bring the participants view towards the center, and the Milky Way backdrop is situated in such as a way as to serve as a central focal point.

ClassRoom

This scene features a realistic classroom environment, with a interactive projector that is capable of projecting images and written prompts for cue responses onto the screen. The classroom scene is used for interactive tests or tests that require the participant to be able to answer or read instructions.

Temple

One of the first scenes created. The temple scene features a series of parallel pillars to amplify the effects of the 3D Environment and any visual manipulations. Vision is drawn towards the center mountain as a vocal point, and shadows accentuate the perspective of the scene. Pillars are shaded through the used of real-time and baked lighting, and make use of normal and height maps to give the scene a realistic feeling of depth.
