Remote Learning

The goal of remote learning is to provide engaging activities for students to advance through the standards-based curriculum, using meaningful (live/ pre-recorded/virtual) lessons and opportunities for small groups and/or one-on-one meetings as needed.

Additionally, staff are encouraged to consider the amount of screen time and overall student wellness during this time. Students may also be provided with pencil/paper activities. The following framework will be used to guide our instruction during the time of remote learning.

Assignments and attendance will be similar to the school setting expectations. Students are encouraged to join the Google Meets and live instructions as frequently as possible. Attendance will be taken daily but recorded on a weekly basis. This will allow for modifications due to situations including lack of devices, issues with connectivity, child care challenges, unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances, etc.

  • Students need to check their school email daily.

  • Students are expected to participate in lessons in Google Classroom and independent work daily, so that it is completed in a timely fashion.
