MakeX robotic competion

The children will imagine, create and submit their own robotic project to the MakeX competition.

The theme of this year is "Low carbon life". This is about reducing energy consumption, especially carbon dioxide emissions, so as to reduce air pollution and slow down ecological deterioration.

Age group: 6 to 8 years old and 9 to 13 years old

Children will learn and explore:

  • Robotic: What is a robot? How do they work?

  • How to develop their own robot to solve problems using the Design Thinking Process (Empathise, Ideate, Build, Test, Iterate, Share).

  • Programming: learn about the basic coding concepts that are common to all programming languages.

  • Team spirit: find the solution of a problem together, sharing knowledge and using each member's best skill and ability.

  • Technology: Mbot robot, MakeBlock coding tools, Python

Number of students: 4 to 10

Teaching language: English or French

Schedule: Feb 25 to May 20, every Friday except during school holidays (25.02.2022, 04.03.2022, 11.03.2022, 18.03.2022, 25.03.2022, 01.04.2022, 08.04.2022, 06.05.2022, 13.05.2022, 20.05.2022)

  • from 4pm to 5pm for the youngest group

  • from 5pm to 6:30pm for the oldest group

Price:

  • 25 Fr. /child per lesson for the youngest group

  • 35 Fr. /child per lesson for the oldest group
