FSA Performing Arts Program Sponsors Movie Making Workshop

Last week FSA Performing Arts Program sponsored a movie making workshop for forty TECCS students at THISLEARNING Studio. Kris Van Nest offered a four hour behind the scenes look into the elements of making a film both in front and behind the camera. Students were asked to collaborate and learned how to operate the camera, lights and sound equipment. FSA Performing Arts plans to use the footage as part of a summer fundraising campaign to raise capital for the fall film project which will begin when we return to class in September. To learn more follow @fsaperformingarts on Facebook and Instagram.

The FSA is a volunteer-driven group that facilitates fundraising, volunteering, and family-staff communication to enhance the experience of TECCS Students and community.

Your support and assistance is needed in a variety of ways:

  • As volunteers at the events: Harvest Festival, Field Day, Read, Write & Run Race
  • With physical donations: baked goods, waters, craft items
  • Volunteers that can offer skills/interest in an area of expertise: event planning, performing arts, graphic design, fundraising, accounting, etc.

We encourage parents and guardians to volunteer for at least two events throughout the year
