Good morning, as I am writing this article, it is September 29th, World Heart Day. Since the World Heart Federation was founded in 1978 in Switzerland, it has been celebrated every year to make people aware of different kinds of heart diseases. The World Heart Federation represents more than 200 organizations around the world. The day's purpose is to inform people about the risks of heart disease and stroke, encourage preventative lifestyle changes like healthy eating and physical activity, and advocate for universal access to CVD prevention, detection, and treatment. An interesting but really sad fact is that one person dies every 34 seconds from cardiovascular disease. In the United States, someone has a heart attack every 40 seconds. Though heart disease can be a serious diagnosis, a positive mindset, combined with proactive lifestyle changes, is a powerful tool. By embracing the small, daily choices that support your heart, you can guarantee a healthier future.
