Recently what has happened in the Billings local area news is that Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter are trying to find homes for all the animals as a meth malfunction happened in the building. All the animals are safe, but there were 14 employees sent to the hospital to be checked and made sure they were ok. There was a malfunction with an incinerator while the FBI was burning seized methamphetamine. Now the shelter is out of commission and is awaiting results from the Newman Restoration Company (NRC). In downtown Billings, one man is in the hospital and another is a suspect at large after a shooting took place Monday night. As the police responded to the scene they found the man with the gunshot wound and EMS took him to get treated right away. As of right now they still have not found the suspect who shot the man, but they do have a bunch of leads to get to him.
