Good morning! Today, I’m interviewing Marlene from Germany. She is a sixteen-year-old exchange student and is spending her time as a junior at our school right now. She really likes her time here so far and enjoyed her first month here in Montana. Marlene describes the people as really kind and is happy about the new subjects she is being taught. She said: “School life is funnier here than in Germany.” One of her new favorite subjects is single survival, where she is learning about her future opportunities and social jobs that she would like to pursue later in life. Another fun class that she chose is home and interior design, where she really likes her current project about real estate. Marlene is doing her exchange year to get a new perspective on life and to see what kind of person you can be when you suddenly have a whole new life. She also wanted to meet new people, which she has been very successful in doing so far. So let’s all say welcome to Marlene, a new member of the school community.
