Budgeting might sound boring, but it’s actually super helpful, especially if you're trying to save up for something like a new phone, car, or even college. The first thing to do is figure out how much money you get (like from a job or allowance) and how much you spend. Write it down so you can see where your cash is going. A good rule to follow is the 50/30/20 rule: spend 50% of your money on needs, 30% on wants, and save 20%. Try not to spend all your money right away. Saving a little bit each time really adds up. Also, it’s smart to keep some money aside for emergencies like if your headphones break or you suddenly need gas money. Lastly, think before you buy. If something isn’t necessary, wait a day and see if you still want it. Budgeting isn’t hard, it just takes a little practice!
