Welcome!

My name is Mrs. Koetz (formerly Ms. Ehlers), and this is my fourth year teaching 4th grade at Pleasant Prairie Elementary School! I am THRILLED to be your child's teacher! It's going to be a year filled with new opportunities, learning, and FUN! 

In my classroom, I value positivity, kindness, inclusion, and curiosity! I will strive to make all students feel validated, respected, and inspired. Together as a community, our class will make everyone feel empowered to do their absolute best. 

I grew up in a small town in Illinois, but now I'm living in the Kenosha area with my husband, Ben, and our ADORABLE Aussie, Milo! I have a brother and a sister, Cameron and Contessa, who are the same age as me (I'm a triplet!). Before becoming a teacher, I attended Carthage College. I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Geoscience. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my dog Milo-- my students will hear about him a lot! I also love reading, hiking, gardening, yoga, photography, rock climbing, golfing, and watching live theater.
