LIFE 110 

2023-24

It's A New Year!

This year we have in the classroom with us Ms. Rubye and Ms. Treva. We intend to focus on Functional Approaches to Real Life Learning and Creating A Meaningful Day! We will be using Teachtown Transition and Thematic units

 We will have Personal Life, Home Living, Leisure and Community Skills for students to reach their greatest level of independent functioning.

Communication will work on students ability to communicate important needs and desires. Ms. Laura the SLP will work closely with us using iPads with Words For Life .Also students will work on increasing relationships and relationship skills.

Personal Life will concentrate on hygiene and self care.

Home living works on cooking, cleaning and taking care of the home.

 Leisure will take in participating and choosing activites.

Community skills involve such things as safely accessing the community. 

Note that not all tasks and activites may be suitable  for every student, due to physical limitations or individual abilites.
