Dual Credit Students
A dual credit student is enrolled in high school while earning college credit.
Steps to Enrolling at Tarrant County College
Step 1: Apply Online via ApplyTCC

Step 2: Receive notification of Acceptance from TCC
After the application is submitted, you will receive a system generated email called “WebAdvisor and Email Account Notice.”
It will provide you with your my.tccd.edu email account name, your TCC student ID and instructions on activating email
If you do not receive an email with your TCC ID after 24-48 hours, inquire by emailing admissions@tccd.edu with your full name and date of birth
Step 3: Complete the Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA)/Online Readiness Assessment
Complete this step before taking the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment
Complete your PAA/Online Readiness Assessment online through WebAdvisor. (You must first login to WebAdvisor for the first time before completing the PAA or Online Readiness Assessment)
To access the PAA/Online Readiness Assessment:
Log in to WebAdvisor
Choose Pre-Assessment Activity under the Prepare to Register heading of the student menu
Choose Online Readiness Assessment under the Prepare to Register heading of the student menu
Step 4: Submit Supporting Documents
After you've applied for admission and been accepted, you'll need to submit your supporting documents to the campus Registrar.
Provide the following documents only if applicable:
Evidence of Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccination (taking face-to-face courses)
Residency documentation (only if applicable)
Step 5: Register for Class
Meet with high school counselor to prepare your schedule
Log on to www.tccd.edu to register for TCC classes
Staying in the Dual Credit Program
The following must be done to remain eligible for the Dual Credit Program:
Follow TCC's Academic Standing and all other policies and regulations outlined in the TCC Catalog
Follow the right and responsibilities as a TCC student, including completing #NotAnymore online training
Complete and pass Online Readiness Assessment
Attend class (Failure to do so may result in the professor dropping you from the class)
Not drop a Dual Credit course without permission from your high school counselor (Drop 6 Rule)
Meet course prerequisite requirements before enrolling in a class (TSI met, MCV4 Vaccination, etc.)
Adhere to dates and deadlines for registration
