Mrs. Garcia

My name is Martha Garcia and I have been in the education setting for 30 years. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Business Degree with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Communication. This will be my 10th year teaching at Polytechnic High School! I found joy in seeing "the light bulb" go off as students gained understanding. I loved the idea of exposing my students to new and exciting perspectives in my Education and Training classes. My background has taught me that the quality of education should never be taken for granted. Through service and teaching, I strive to show students the transformative power that education can have on their lives and the lives of their families. I look forward to creating partnerships of collaboration and mutual support with students and parents to make this an outstanding and successful year.

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, with the weekend cookouts being my favorite. I have one daughter and two sons but my pride and joy are my three grandchildren, and our beloved three-year-old boxer.
