About me

I have been at Helbing Elementary for the past 8 years as a librarian. I received my Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of North Texas in the summer of 2013.

Before my library life, I was a bilingual teacher for 1st grade for one year and a Pre-k teacher for four years. I believe every child can learn, I believe in the power of reading, and finding that special book that will inspire, and make every little mind a little better. I strive to make the library a welcoming place where reading, learning and curiosity take place.

I have a dog (Nicky) whom I call my harry monster since she is a ball of energy. I recently got married to a handsome, funny and wonderful man. I have a one year old daughter who is funny, curious, beautiful and smart. I also have two sisters, whom I consider my best friends. I love spending time with my family and friends. In my spare time, I like to read, drink coffee, listen to music, dance, watch Netflix and cook.
